  • The Group believes investment in sports as nation building, community development, empowerment, skill development and investment in health. It shall support promotion of rural sports, nationally recognized sports, Paralympic sports and Olympic sports. The objective is to help athletes to win medals in international tournaments, especially Olympic games by mainly providing them international level coaching, health fitness support and equipment, amongst others.

The ‘Prime Minister’s Citizen Assistance and Relief in Emergency Situations Fund’ (PM CARES Fund)’ is a dedicated national fund for dealing with any kind of emergency or distress situation, like those posed by the COVID-19 pandemic. The PM Cares Fund consists entirely of voluntary contributions from individuals/organizations and does not get any budgetary support. The objective is to undertake and support relief or assistance of any kind relating to a public health emergency or any other kind of emergency, calamity or distress, either manmade or natural, including the creation or upgradation of healthcare or pharmaceutical facilities, other necessary infrastructure, funding relevant research or any other type of support. The fund renders financial assistance, provides grants of payments of money or takes such other steps as may be deemed necessary by the Board of Trustees to the affected population. Nippon Life India Asset Management Limited has contributed Rs. 9.5 Cr in the financial year 2020-21, under Schedule VII of the Companies Act, 2013, towards the Prime Minister’s Citizen Assistance and Relief in Emergency Situations Fund (PM CARES Fund). Support for Armed Forces & their Families: Army Central Welfare Fund is operated by the India Army and the contribution received in this fund are utilized to pay financial assistance/ grant to widows of our Soldiers, their Next of Kin, Dependents and needy Ex- Servicemen as a welfare measure. The donations made to this fund are 100% exempted from Income Tax Act vide clause (III hc) of section 80-G of Income Tax Act 1961. Nippon Life India Asset Management Limited has contributed Rs. 2.5 Cr in the financial year 2020-21, under Schedule VII of the Companies Act, 2013, towards the Army Welfare Fund.
