In 2022-23, 31.6% of this Indian company’s product portfolio was manufactured using renewable sources of energy. It managed to save Rs 2.4 crore with its green manufacturing initiative in that financial year.
The usage of non-metalized cartons, in packaging of one of its products, led to a reduction of 3,500 million tonnes of plastic.
It also reduced the intensity of its greenhouse gas emissions by 48%, Water efficient processes helped the company in cutting down its water usage by 30%. It also saved 71,600 kWh of energy by using energy-saving motors in the manufacturing processes.
As compared to liquid hand-washes, powder hand-wash brings down plastic usage by 47% and paper usage by 24.6%. It also helps save 24.5% fuel in transportation, apart from saving water used in liquid hand washes.
