In FY21, the company managed to reduce its Scope 1 & 2 CO2 emissions by 0.6% compared to FY20. They have already set up 100 on-site solar systems in this direction.
The company does collaboration to donate unsellable, but safe, food items to the needy, and thus reducing wastage of food worth millions. In 2020, one of its warehouses donated 77% of unsellable safe food, 33% more than that in 2019.
The company is gradually eliminating environmentally hazardous plastic in packaging, reducing usage to 6.4 million pounds in 2022 from 17 million pounds in 2021.
Gender equality being priority, in its workforce, share of women has gradually increased to 46.5%
The customer satisfaction has gone up by 20%, employee engagement by 15%, while the shareholder value has increased by 10%.
